Chi hội Hướng dẫn viên Du lịch TP.HCM được thành lập theo Quyết định số 72/QĐ-HHDLVN ngày 29/11/2017 của Hiệp hội Du lịch Việt Nam và được chuyển giao về trực thuộc Hiệp hội Du lịch TP.HCM theo Quyết định số 11/QĐ-HHDLVN ngày 08/01/2018. Tạo môi trường để giao lưu, liên kết, hợp tác phát triển đội ngũ hướng dẫn viên du lịch; bồi dưỡng cập nhật kiến thức, chuyên môn, nghiệp vụ, kỹ năng hành nghề hướng dẫn cho các hội viên để nâng cao trình độ nghiệp vụ và chất lượng dịch vụ hướng dẫn du lịch.
